  1. Part-time weekend host.  An ideal candidate is looking for 10-20 hours per week primarily supporting the Hendersonville Blue Ridge Mall location.
    • This would be a great match for a College Student looking for weekend hours or an individual seeking supplementary income doing a fun job on the weekends only. We primarily need support Saturdays from 10AM-9PM and Sundays from 1PM-6PM with the possible additional hours on Fridays depending on availability.
  2. Full-Time hosts must be able support operations across both of our locations.

This role requires:

    • Cross-training and regular work at both locations
    • Availability nearly every Saturday 10am-9pm and Sunday 1-9pm
    • Availability to work 3 of the 5 weekdays M-F
    • A commitment of 30–40 hours per week

FOX-N-OTTER Escape Rooms is a small family-owned business with a fun connected team that runs our two locations from South Asheville to Hendersonville. 

Our staff schedule is a puzzle of collaboration and support that balances personal life and other commitments as a part of a small family owned local small business.  Some great candidates may not fit our current needs.

ROOM HOST BASIC JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:
• Greet each guest upon arrival, and ensure waivers are filled-out.
• Setup and reset escape rooms to provide consistent gameplay.
• Guide guests through their experience by carefully watching progress and assisting as needed.
• Book customers over the phone and in person.
• Invite guests to have their picture taken and send it to them.
• Sell merchandise and process payments for all transactions.

Qualifications:
• Be a vibrant, engaging, fun-loving host.
• Provide 3 references not related to you.
• Intermediate computer and typing skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Availability to work weekend shifts and proven dependability to show up on time every time.
• Ability to safely bend, reach, crawl, and properly lift 20lbs.

Compensation

  • Training pay $13/hour until autonomous (typically 2-4 weeks) up to $15.50 plus tips for part-time host depending on number of locations supported after proven autonomy. Pay up to $17 plus tips for full-time multi-location hosts. Generous performance bonuses for 5-star reviews and regular opportunities for merchandise commission sales.

10-20 hours week depending on candidates availability and season for part-time roll and 30-40 for full-time host postions.
