Our games are engineered to appeal to a great diversity of group types including ENTHUSIASTS, FRIENDS, CO-WORKERS, FAMILIES, VACATIONERS and PARTIES of all kinds.

All of our games are intended for adult groups or family groups with at least 1 adult actively playing with the team. We have found that children about age 8 and older and adults of all ages enjoy our Adventure Games the most. Children 4-7 enjoy playing along with families although many puzzles are beyond their ability to solve, they enjoy the environments and are often good at finding items.

Although we don't encourage it, some families opt to bring younger children including infants into their game with them, but we do charge for all players older than "stroller age".  We remind families bringing small children to keep close watch for little fingers and items in mouths.  Additionally if you are concerned about the theme intensity for the age of the children in your party, feel free to give us a call or text for game info and  recommendations.  (828)585-4302

We do NOT lock anyone in a room. Our immersive plots do not involve you being "trapped", the storyline you will engage with encourages you to stay and continue in the room. The door is always open and you may walk out and leave at anytime. Most individuals with anxiety about locked doors find this fact enough to enjoy their experience fully!

It's not necessary to arrive exceptionally early, but it is necessary to arrive on time to be sure there is time for introductions and instructions, think of your reservation much like a movie show time.  10-15 minutes early is a good target in case you hit traffic.  Any earlier and we may not be finished with the group before, any later and we may not be able to give you your full time before the next group arrives.

At our South Location we have a single-stall bathroom available onsite for anyone that needs to use it.  We encourage you go before the game if you have the opportunity as it can take extra time to get started if everyone in your party needs to use the restroom. Rocky's Hot Chicken Shack downstairs has multiple stalls available.  Let them know you are playing with us for a discount on food.

The Mall Locations have restrooms  just to the left side of our storefront in the Asheville Mall and right around the corner in the Blue Ridge Mall.

No special knowledge, trivia, or physical skills are required to complete the game. The answers to our puzzles and games are not found on google. The solutions are found in your interaction with items and information in the rooms and we have a dynamic hint system to help players along when they get stuck.

However, we have had players comment that they wish they had brought reading glasses.  It makes it easier to inspect things closely.

If someone is with you that chooses not to experience one of our Adventure Games at the South Location, they can enjoy Rocky's Hot Chicken Shack down below our location, or wait in the lobby.  The Mall Locations have a few seats in the lobby in addition to the mall shops and a food court at the Asheville Mall.

We do not film your experience, but we do watch it on monitors from our control room to guide your game via in room television and dynamic clue delivery system. We discourage picture taking in our rooms and ask that you not post spoilers on social media. We take fun pictures for you at the end of your game at no extra charge for you to enjoy and share.

Yes, we have both t-shirts with our FOX-N-OTTER logo on them, and we have plush stuffed animal foxes and otters for purchase as well as EXIT and UNLOCK! Escape Room Style board games and other fun toys and trinkets.

All of our current rooms are wheelchair accessible and our store entrance is level with no curb.  We frequently have groups take advantage of our accessibility for all players.  If you have a wheelchair concern, give us a call and we can recommend a game that has best access.
